Born and bred in Camden, Martine bought her two bed North London maisonette 25 years ago. Once house-proud and sociable, bereavement and illness sent both her and her home off the rails. An impulsive renovation led to the lounge becoming a dumping ground and to Martine becoming confined to her kitchen. Spurred on by daughter Simmone who’s expecting her first child and Martine’s first grandchild, they call on Sarah Beeny’s expertise. Using data from her monitoring cameras Sarah suggests not only a layout fix but a glamorous redesign. Will Martine find the inner strength to succeed?
